Melody Gardot
Heard this gal on the radio yesterday. New to me.
Melody Gardot Nice voice. She was singing in French (very well, by the way) but she's from New Jersey. Interesting singer, interesting back story.

 I love her Worrysome Heart Album, ordered the latest on vinyl. Have not seen it yet.

On vinyl? Cool!
I was surprised at her age and origin after hearing her sing in French. Could not place the accent, but would not have guessed American. She has a good ear - as well as other good parts.

Could be - there are a lot of girl singers out there that sound alike. Maybe she's a Peyroux fan? Most people get a start by imitating others.
I listened to the Worrisome Heart album. Nice, but "My One and Only Thrill" album I like better. Like the texture and what she does with her voice. Fun stuff.

Found a CD of her on a russian HiFi mag a while ago.
Very Blond, wearing glasses for making her a bit more interesting, talent-free. Artificial pseudo-audiophile **.
