There's a new band called Black Mountain that has some great keyboards. The only way I can describe them is Black Sabbath/Emerson Lake & Palmer/Kirsten Hersh.

++ on all the above. Check out progarchives.com for loads and loads more.

Steve Reich "Four organs". It's not a rock music. But it's very very psychedelic.

Not Psychedelic, but check out Jan Hammer on "Jeff Beck With The Jan Hammer Group - Live" and Billy Cobham's "Spectrum".

Hi
I agree. Tange is full of good keyboard works. Also the Edgar Froese solo works are a upstep level on keyboards solos.
Try the first one EF solo, AQUA album: on the title track there is a long stunning mellotron solo.
Hear music samples here: Amazon.com: Aqua: Edgar Froese: Music

Also on the soundtrack: KAMIKAZE 1989 there is various ''short'' songs plenty of provocative solos: Kamikaze 1989: Edgar Froese: Amazon.de: Musik

Happy searching

This, which I recommend, would have been the first possibly.
But The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is full of miracles.
I don't know, which part I shall emphasize in it.
