It's known as N.I.B off their first album from 1970 called Black Sabbath. I guess it's not a true acronym in the way the band meant it. The meaning to them was that bassist Geezer Butler had a beard or goatee at the time that looked like the 'nib' of a pen. So the song was recorded and named N.I.B
Dunno? How about 'New.In.Box.', okay that is not what the song means at all though lol.

Well an acronym is a word made of abbreviations and then pronounced as a word so if " nib " was the subject of the song i vote it stays despite being initiallized.
