Iam aiming for the first 250. After that I might just pick a random spot and do another list, to see if there seem to be a lot of recurring themes.

I did just that, with the thought if seeing how tricky the job turned out to be. Not too bad, and I stumbled across several interesting exchanges and posts.
So, I started at a topic begin at #5005 and thought to do 500, but carried on right up to #6016. As to what number that might be in the whole list of things we will not know unless everything up to 5005 is listed, but then again I don't think that it is really of that much interest to know. That 1000 posts gave 58 themes for my lot, and 54 by the lot that you just did, seems to show a good steady rate. I will carry on from 6000 to 7000, so don't choose to check that.
Shall I send you the list I have made as an email, then you can add it to your list, so that we have a single master list?

I am fascinated by the concept of oxymorons, yes I had to look it up! It's one of those words I've heard or read many times but just skimmed over making sense of it ( I hope ) from their context. Anyway despite how fascinating the concept of oxymorons is, I am at a loss to think of any songs that fit the mould. It has reminded me of an interesting line from Douglas Adams hitchhikers guide to the galaxy:

Rigidely defined areas of uncertainty

I wish there was a song called that, perhaps I could write it! I will continue to try and think of a real song that fits the theme.

EDIT: I just checked and the exact quote was; “We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!”
