Mom's car was mid 60's Plymouth Valiant , 2 door hardtop, the small slant 6 , bench seat up front- a totally cool car to cruise Wllows Beach, the Oak Bay Ave A &W (Teenburger still rocks!), and even the Tillicum Drive-Inn

Thanks to excellent public transport my mum never had a car. :-(

My mom didn't drive at all. Thankfully...

Very primitive in my part of the woods - we had the car, Mum drove - but no radio ...

OTOH, the kitchen radio was king!

My mom drove a 1953 Dodge Coronet with a Red Ram Hemi....the kids in generic (289 V8) Mustangs didn't stand a chance. Note this was the first association of the words "Ram" with brand "Dodge".

The radio was usually on one of the two AM pop music radio stations in Miami, WQAM 560 (still on the air) and WFUN 790. What flowed freely from both in the 60's....surf music and of course the Beatles, but a classic that I still remember ......
