Default Farewell John Martin

I saw John Martyn in Bristol (UK) at "The Old Profanity Showboat" in the mid 80`s , but never again............which I will always , always regret.
He wrote and played some of the best music ever to have been written. He had a unique voice, a unique guitar technique, he was.............!
" Curl around me like a fern in the spring",
" Bless the weather that brought you to me, curse the storm that took you away"
" May you never lay your head down without a hand to hold"
If you are familiar with John Martyn then you will know the music that goes with these lines, if you are unfamiliar, then search him out and see what music we have running through our minds when we hear those lyrics.
"Have one for me John"

This sad news didn't make the news here in the States. "No Little Boy?" is still one of the best albums I have ever heard and makes a terrific test disc in many ways. I still have friends ask me (with awe) who the artist is when I play it. You are sorely missed, RIP
