TB w4-1052SA bipole/dipole
I'm thinking of using pairs of TB W4-1052SA's in dipole/bipole speakers. I will need 4 such speakers (two back and two side). Since I have a subwoofer and my surround speakers will be assigned as 'small' they won't see anything under 100hz. In a sealed box with a .707 qtc theses drivers will give an f3 of about 100hz. I favor sealed boxes over vented as they are easier to build and less critical of driver parameters.
Other than a Zobel network of 5 ohms and 30pf for each driver (or 10 ohms and 15pf across both) it looks like nothing else is needed. I plan to connect the drivers in series for 8 ohms. Anybody tried something like this before? Ideas? Thanks! |
