Default 3rd order cap-assisted sealed box -?

--don't have any small sealable boxes to test.Iin practice how close can one come to the graph below using 15" B&C plus 500uF?

60 liter box - 15" woofer

Freddy,
you'll get quite close (though reality might require a bigger cap than the sim) - but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll like the result.
Very often these cap-assisted boxes don't really integrate well - gives you the feeling that the bass is marching at the rear of the parade, so to speak.

hi Pit - from limited experiements running CL that cap might sound "loose" with subjective overhang.

the low impedance case of C series with L across driver is really rough on some amplifiers and seemed* Erse steel-laminate choke was saturating and perhaps adding some tone (?) it was fun to see the choke pull and shake nearby pliers in beat with a drum's overtones

can you think of a way in AJ to fake tapped horn situtation?

*tough call as load could trigger a "Samson" amp to rachet at relatively low drive plus boost and sharper knee affect certain things

I think the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook has the formula for calculating the correct cap value. But it thinks of just one alignment, hence you need to size the box a certain size, first.
