I had lunch with Ken Kantor several months ago. He has the same take on "speed" in woofers as Earl.

Great minds DO think alike,

Hi Tenson,
Someone else was thinking like you. Alpine is using the LAT in a powered auto subwoofer, and have designed it as a bandpass.

How about using a LAT 500 as a mid-bass driver vs a sub?

Would it do 60hz to 500Hz cleanly?

I need something narrow, and will probably stack two or three of these vertically to get some killer 'punch'.

Low frequencies will be handed by my Infinite Baffle sub.

Anyone tested these LATs at higher freq?
Box sizes could come down a bit if not trying to push the low-end, right?
