Hi All,
My cousin gave me a pair of the Jensen System B speakers. They are a four way speaker with a front & rear firing tweeter. The surrounds on the woofer are gone. That friends is all I know about theses speakers. Tried a search here, on Yahoo, & on Google. Any info about these little monsters would be much appreciated. Are they worth the effort of putting on new surrounds or replacing the woofer completely. Or I can gut them entirely and use the cabinets for some yet to be conceived project. Or maybe they are such horrible speakers (well they are Jensen's) they are best used as fuel for the fireplace. Any and all info an insights are as alway much appeciated. Thanks, Ralph

Hello Ralph, I found a set of Jensen System B speakers. They are in not too good shape. The surrounds are gone and one mid-tweeter is blown. One of the cabinets broke apart -somebody put excessive weight on top of it- but I think they still could be fixed..it's a big project tough. The only thing I don't like about the cabinets are the front and the back panels. They are made of some sort of plastic, not wood. I feel sorry for them and I want to restore them if the cost is reasonable.
I wanted to ask you if you decide to repair them go ahead and let me know how everything goes. If you decide not to fix them I'd be interested on buying the drivers from you, all of them or just one of the mid-tweeters. I've been looking around and I can't find this particular mid-tweeter made by Polydax. Thank you. Regards. Venado |
