I've got pair of HiVi B3S drivers, and want to start to 'play' with designing speakers (rather than building from kits, as I've done in the past).
The parameters on the HiVi site (http://www.swanspeaker.com/product/htm/view.asp?id=52) recommend a 2l box, and I see that Zaph's version (http://www.zaphaudio.com/audio-speaker18.html) is 3.35l. Putting the T/S parameters (from the HiVi site) into BassBox Pro gives me a volume of about 1.3l. So... three very different sizes... how do you go about choosing what's 'best'? |

Hi,
Do a search, plenty of info on B3S enclusure volumes. Best is 2 to 3 litres, though you can get away with smaller. note : use zaphs measured parameters. /sreten.

Thanks sreten.
I'd done lots of searching, and come up with numerous (different) answers - hence the question. I'll feed Zaph's figures into Bass Box Pro though, and see what that gives me. |
