I have a pair of Tannoy R3s - and noticed a comment on one site how the sound of them could be "improved" by neatening up so to speak the internal padding ...
well I had a look at mine - from the port hole (yet to take a driver off to get at properly) - and in one - one of the bass drivers is "clear" right to the port - ie you can see it, and on the other - all you can see is foam, and the foam seems to be "sitting" on-top of and around the driver ... I think speaker (1) is how they should be ? But I don't know ? What is the best layout of the foam inside speaker cabinets please ? At the moment it just all looks "stuffed in" - although the foam all over the driver I'm wondered if has happened in transport etc. thanks, Mark. |
