Stupid enclosure calculation question

I am going to design a subwoofer I've seen in the visaton-catalog. It 's a band pass cabinet with the closed chamber having a 30 litres content and the vented area a 45 litres content. I also read that the tunnel should be about 12cm long with a surface of 210cm2 (wich is about 14 litres).

Now my silly question: the space the vent takes up in the housing, is that included in those 45litres or should I add it?? Eg: should I make the vented area of the cabinet 59 litres including the vent or not?
