what were these speakers like to listen to??
anyone know anything about them?? there is a pair sitting in a local shop (marked $90/pr AUD, but I'll get them for less if I want them), one missing the tweeter, but I have that pair of yamaha tweets out of the NS-650 in the store room waiting for a purpose ! |

Not bad in their day, even famous in their day.
I have not heard a pair for a long time, but from memory were very nice, but a little laid back maybe. These are not high power speakers, so be kind to them. Fanatics will pay good money for those. Eric.

I remember one sunday morning at the carboot sale i saw a pair of those big leaks all in perfect condition, then round the corner another pair of the smaller ones, i think they were sandwich 15's, why didnt i buy them !!
Anyway have you had a look here, all you need to know about making sandwiches sound better. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kiewa-.../sandwich1.pdf Best of luck i would buy them, those little ones had super low bass responce,only thing i didnt like was the horrible warfedale mylar tweeter. |
