I'm planning on making some PC speakers as my first DIY design. I'm planning on using Peerless Nomex 4" 830872 and Vifa D26NC55 in Zaph's countersunk mounting scheme. This should get the drivers as close as possible and hopefully simulate a point source. I also need the enclosures to be as small as possible, around the size of NHT Zero's. How will having an extremely small baffle affect the overall sound of the speaker. I'm not sure how baffle step works. Are the effects greater as the baffle gets smaller or vice versa? I haven't begun yet, just wondering if anyone has done something similar to this design. I'll definitely be using a sub too which will come later.
