ferro fluid

Hi people
How do I remove it from a tweeter for ex. seas 27TFFC

Salas 7th March 2007 05:38 PM

You disassemble, you wipe it off the coil carefully with tissue paper, and then with harder paper you run inside and around the circular gap until no brownish residue is left to clear.

what does it change

Salas 7th March 2007 06:50 PM

Thermal intake goes lower, main resonance gets higher Q. Some say the tweeter starts and stops on a dime without the fluid friction. If you use it with a strong amplifier better leave it as is. Crossover needs changes aswell because Z changes around resonance.
