Default Anyone built anything like PMCs trans. line monitors?

I recently heard a pair of PMC TB2+ monitors and was quite impressed at the big sound from these small bookshelf speakers. Has anyone done a similar transmission line bookshelf speaker?? I believe PMC uses Vifa drivers.

Looks kinda fishy to me, at first look I would think it is a highly compromised TL, hardly a true TL at all in fact.

Looks like a 56" TL with a very small cross section. I listened to a pair of those years ago, I recall them being not bad.

PMC use their 'advanced transmission line' technology. So no, they are not the same as you would get from Martin's MathCAD sheets for example. Compromised? Actually, I don't think so, they seem to work VERY well!

I would suggest they might be modelling them as a small enclosure with a very long and wide port. Might be worth an experiment to see how such a speaker turns out.

Martin's worksheets should model this TL fairly easily. Its a constant CSA line with the driver offset slightly.
