Anyone tried out drive units from Hi Vi Research ?
Magnesium coned units sourced from China. Specs look good.
In the UK, they are available from IPL at very reasonable prices :-

There are a number of HiVi designs on here from dipole to sealed HT rigs ala Zaph (www.zaphaudio.com). The B3S is the driver has been used in a small sealed per his implementation and a dipole near field for a computer that the builder liked.

I've used the M4N's in a set of computer speakers with pretty good results.

They do make some good drivers. The Dayton Reference Series have surpassed their performance and prices in the USA, but some Hi-Vi drivers are still excellent.

In my opinion, they're beautiful drivers. They're supposed to sound good enough that in many cases I wouldn't hesitate to pick them over a better driver just based on looks.
