Interesting.

What is the composition of the material your are now using? Is there an R value associated with it?

The details of the damping material were given as 350GSM Acrylic sound damping material. I bought four rolls of 1.5m x 1m at about 10mm thick ($5.00 per roll + delivery). I had to layer it to get the required thickness. A few dobs of PVA glue here and there to keep it together. I purchased it from an Ebay supplier in Aus. I'm still going to do some more research into procuring the exact material as used by Joe Ras but for now I'm quite happy with the improvement.

I was just curious. As long as the density is low, I am sure you will be fine. Glad to hear it is working out for you though.

Hows this NL8MPR - Neutrik

30mm hole saw/spade bit, you want to get a nice snug fit as there is not much room for the screws.

Hi i,ll eloborate on my last post,if using the NL8MPR the drawings call for a 31mm hole but as i only had 30mm holesaw this is what i used along with a small amount of filing to enlarge the hole so the plug would fit nicely.

But if you can get a 31mm holesaw go for it.

Cheers

90mm outside diameter x 80mm long plastic pipe from you local hardware bunnings etc . I think it was stormwater pipe.
