You want to turn your router speed down though to avoid the burns on the oak.

Thanks Al, I tried different speeds and always end up with the same problem. May be I'm just not going fast enough, but oak splinters if I route too fast. The burn marks disappear with sanding though.

Is that the XT-19 tweet? What XO, rolloff do you plan to implement?

Hi Shaun, I haven't decided on the final xo points yet, but initially, it's going to be approximately 700/3,400, and at least a 4th order slope. We'll see how they measure out. Thanks.

Like you, I am also playing with the Dayton RS52. I am in the process of comparing it to a BG RD40 Planar in the 800hz to 4000hz range.

I am using two ScanSpeak 8554 woofers, one RS52 mid, and Scanspeak Aircirc 6600 tweet.

My guess is that our systems sound fairly similar.
