Has anybody tried using car speakers for in wall application for the home? HT? Or is there a problem with these being 4ohms? If so what speakers have you tried?
I have heard this in an ford expedition SUV. They sound great. http://reviews.cnet.com/Infinity_Kap...?tag=pdtl-list Thanks |

If you haven't bought the drivers yet, why are you considering car speakers?
And yes, a lot of HT sytems like to have 8-16 ohms on the LCR and 4-8 on the rears. |

So I do not have to deal with xovers and I like the sound of ribbons. I use to have acoustats, magnepans and martin logans myself in my bachelor days. So with a wife, kid, 2 car payments and a mortage I am trying to build a tube amp and inwall ribbon speaker system for HT with very limited budget. |
