Hi! I was thinking about building a small two-way Tangband speaker when i saw this
http://www.blueplanetacoustic.de/pdf/18/DUCONE.pdf Do you think it might be possible to split it in half and keep half the internal volume and just one rectangular port if you just want to use one "woofer" per box? |

You'd have to adjust the crossover to make sure the sensitivities match, and the baffle step lines up right. Better to leave it as is, if it's a good design.

I second what badman said but if you must, it's probably OK to split the box and redo the XO.
