Default Zaph's BAMTM + Intergrated Sub

I've decided to build 2 floor standing BAMTM with side firing subs and 1 BAMTM for a center channel, The main reason for this arrangement is for my HT. So I have couple of question...

Has anyone started/finished a BAMTM with side firing subs or planning to?
If you are planning on integrating the sub, what amp will you use Pro Audio or Plate? If so what are you using?

"A floorstanding tower with the top 1 cu ft section sealed off can give you at least a cubic foot below to work with for other uses, primarily dual integrated subs. If the MTM+sub route is taken with 1 cu ft on the bottom, look no further than the Dayton RSS265HF in sealed or the RSS265HO vented and tuned to about 25-27Hz. Side mounted would work fine with 150Hz or lower active crossover. Needs a couple hundred watts each, not too expensive if you stick to prosound amps. I'd stick to external amps and avoid plate amps for this usage. These Dayton RS subs represent extremely high performance and great value. I use them myself and highly recommend them. For other options, simply look for something that will work in this enclosure size. Generally, an active crossover such as one included in a good HT receiver is the best option. (I have not designed a passive version)" - Zaph

I think it's greatly depend on the portability of the speakers.
If you plan to move the speakers around alot, the plate-amps make sense. But, if you plan to build more speakers around the house, get a proamp to use with other projects.

I did considered the weight of the finished speaker, but once in place I won't be moving them much...

The proamp make a lot of sense, plus leaves me flexibility for future projects.
