Default any suggestions for small faceplate tweeters

I am planning a project which will require a tweeter with a compact faceplate.
I have been looking at the Morel MDT40 or MDT44 as I want to be able to cross fairly low. Anyone have experience with these Morel units or other similar ?

Thanks

JM

Vifa D26NC55 without a doubt. Asked the same question a few weeks back. I believe ATC used this tweeter in their SCM20-2, SCM10-2 and T16 speakers.

Default higher Fs

I saw the test results on John K's site and thought about this Vifa D26NC55 and the price is good.
It has quite higher Fs than the Morel so would limit crossover to above 2.5k I think. Also I see that Madisound is out of these for some time.

Would still like to hear from someone who has used/heard the Morel MDT40/44 please..

Hi,

Fs does not necessarily indicate the best c/o frequency.

Quote:
Smoothest and most extended response curve in the group, and resulting CSD is excellent. Good tall order HD above 2kHx, but average 2nd order HD. Poor HD levels of all types below 2kHz, even considering the extended low end. It may have a 500 Hz Fs, but don't think about crossing it below 2kHz LR4 or 2.5kHz LR2.
/sreten.
