What did they cost (in USD or Euro preferably)? Looks like a serious tweeter, though looks can be deceiving. A bucking magnet is generally a good thing though.
No branding on the backplate?

these tweeters are great! theres no branding on it, but there is a mark on the back where you could tell the seller took off the brand name.
i paid $50 for the pair and it was worth every penny, after a little experimenting with inline capacitors , 5.8uf came out the best sounding with 5.25" mids in parrallel. i have a pair of peerless tweets also as well as vifas and these actually sound smoother. im in thailand so im thinking these were oem jobs, overstocked or something. they are 6.5 ohms, the top plate is 4" and the diaphram is 1 " |

Hi Clipped,
I guess you bought from Klong Thom. USD 50 is not cheap, if it made from China. |

the bcak of the tweeter has nothing symbolic, the bottom magnet is just glued to the backplate.
the middle ring cant be removed without damaging it. i guess ive had these hooked up for 3 days now, but cant tell of any changes in sound as of yet. kittikun, i didnt get these at klong tom or ban mo, but i know what you are talking about...where its made isnt really important to me, as these days almost everything is made in china. even some really hi-end stuff. |
