I came back from Fry's and found a few sound cards that claim to have built in preamp for mic.
Has anyone used this before? If so, can we hook up the mic directly to the soundcard? |

should work as described, except the mic input would not be balanced, or have phantom power. may mics used for speaker measurement (if that is your intended purpose, are both balanced, and have a phantom power requirement.
