Hi All, Has anyone used/measured this driver? I was thinking of only using it as a tweeter in surround speakers - mostly DSP for music rather than HT - so demands would not be great. Other than looking kinda cool I was just wondering if it was reasonably clean/accurate. I also thought given its very reasonable price and small footprint that it might be a candidate for line arrays. Thanks!

Bump (I'll only do this once). May buy a pair just out of curiosity (and because they look so cool).

Hi SDLC,
an old post I know, whoa 3 yrs old! but yours was a good question on a seemingly good driver with 170Hz FS, amazing! So why didn't anyone reply? They seem great and for line arrays. But I don't know, lol, I'm a beginner! Grant |

Hese are fantastic drivers for arear loaded hor configuration. In small bookshelf sized enclosure they can easily go as low as 100hz at decent volume. A horn loaded array of eight of them can go as low as you like and because their mass is so low and the cone is so stiff along with a strong magnet hornresp shows the best impulse response I've ever seen.

Oh yeah, we did make some small bookself speakers out of a pair of these and they sound great but we designed them to go down to 80hz and for this to work well you need a sharp high pass crossover or the cones will move too much and pop at mid to high volume. Otherwise they sound absolutely fantastic. High frequency is exeptional. Sorry I don't have any photos. I plan to build my entire home theater using 7 channels with 8 of these each and 2 ginormous subwoofers each containing 4 MCM 55-2421 8" subwoofers. Should give me 135db from 20-20,000hz with an almost perfect impulse response. I'll put a link when I post pics of the planned theater.
