Default Cheap Small 2Way Project.

decided on making a small pair of speakers a- for my computer and b- for the fun of it.

They will be used for my computer so i dont need high SPL's, main thing in terms of sound is that is not a harsh sound, room is 11ft Sq, amp yet to be decided but probably somthing small, mabye Super T-Amp.

Thinking of using....
Audax HT130M0 Mid/Bass
Visaton SC10N Tweeter

Crossed at 3000Hz (not sure if 12dB/Octave or 6dB/Octave)

in a 4L ported enclosure tuned to 72Hz (moddled on Win ISD)

with the drivers from Richie00boy, whole project should come in under £50

Build a full range using 4in Tangband "bamboo" model:1320(US$40 each) with no tweeter. Concentrate on the cabinet and also build a BSC circuit which is simple. Also you save money on xover and tweeter and also time saved on tweaking the xover.

There is website dedicated to this project, do a search at this website.

The sound will amaze you.

Whilst no doubt a nice project, I think the idea was for a cheap project made with parts easy/cheap to source in UK.

inrank your design looks ok initially, but if you can tolerate a bit bigger box you may be able to get a bit better performance in the bass. What size can you go up to? Also would you be happy adding a line level eq circuit (a simple high-pass filter)?
