I do not know much about amplifiers and speakers, so my question could be a stupid one. I have an amplifier which has only 2 spekers output 8-16ohm). My speakers are 8 ohm impedance. I want to attach a new pair of 8 ohm speakers to this amp to listen 4 speakers at the same time. Is it possible? I do not know how to do it clean and to do not damage the amp or the speakers. Is there any device or trick to make it possible without affecting the amp, the speakers and the sound quality? Thank you in advance…

Sure, it's possible. More isn't neccesarily better though. To do this without damaging your amp wire the speakers in series.
Connect the positive in of one speaker to the positive out of one channel, connect the negative in of the speaker to the positive in of a second speaker, and the negative in of the second speaker to the negative out of the amp channel. Duplicate for the other two speakers on the other channel. If you do this wrong and wire them in parallel you may damage your amplifier. |
