Default Ascendant Audio poly 6.5's - are they still availible?

Ascendant lists the Poly 6.5 on their webpage.

http://www.ascendantaudio.com/poly_6.5_page.html

However, Zaph (who liked these drivers a lot) lists them as discontinued.

When I model a 24 liter box in WinISD, I get eerily flat response - the -3db point is at 40hz!

I'm looking to build myself a pair of "really good" speakers as soon as I get the hang of building lesser ones, and these might just fit the bill. I'm leaning towards a pair of Bohlender-Graebner Neo3's for the tweeters - their relatively low price and very low distortion are both big selling points - but a pair of good dome tweeters would'nt be bad, either.

If they are, it's rather unfortunate. They look to deliver awesome performance for their cost... or at any cost, rather.

Woot!

I must say that I very much like this woofer - it's perfect for a medium-sized 2-way, it's cheap, and it's attractive. Good combination if you ask me!

I'm a bit new to speaker design, but it seems to me that a 24 liter (0.85 cu. ft.) enclosure is just the right size for one of these woofers. The THD is not as good past 200hz, but it's still better than anything else I can afford anyway.

As a completely unrelated side note, can anyone reccomend a good design based around this woofer?

They seem to be out of stock on all their drivers.

Parts Express should second source it.
