Default Are foil inductors good for a tweeter network?

Are there any downsides of using foil inductors comparing to the round wire ones in a tweeter filter network? I mean, don’t they have some increased capacity to shunt a tweeter?

As far as I know, Mundorf Supreme caps use special non-inductive winding to reduce their inductance. Wouldn’t using foil instead of round wire increase the capacitance of the inductor?

I have a pair of 14 AWG Air core foil inductors from some previous experiments which I unwound from 1.2 to 0.5 mH, which makes them applicable in a tweeter network only.

Thank you in advanse,
Misha

They're not going to have any downsides (except cost) unless you need the higher DCR to get the appropriate filter characteristics. Whether they'll do you any perceivable good is a different question that can only be answered by experimentation.
