I'm thinking of building a dedicated PC for the designing and testing of speakers and associated components. I would need software for box design, driver testing (for use with a wallin jig or similar) and signal generator, and possibly some others. Are all of these things available for Linux?
Audua's Speakerworkshop C source (which I use on Windows) is avail via sourceforge.net http://sourceforge.net/projects/speakerworkshop/
A bit of compiler options tweaking and you might get it to build under linux. Otherwise you could post a question on the speakerworkshop forum (www.audua.com) and ask their fro a Linux build.
It will do most of what you want.

quasi anechoic measurement for linux is coming, but is not quite there yet.

Also, another source for possible future linux apps is:

The jaaa app mentioned is not suitable for quasi anechoic measurements. The Aliki app is likely more suitable, but it is also not ready for prime time.
Keep checking both sites and maybe sometime this year.
