Default Zaph ZD5 vs. Ellam XT

I was wondering if anyone has had opportunity to compare Zaph's ZD5 with Troel's Ellam XT? Both use the same drivers Scan-Speak 15W and Vifa XT, but different box and crossover design.

Ellam XT:

ZD5:

Thanks,
Matt

Havent heard them .... but looking at crossover I might vote for Zaph this time .... but with out bass I could fear it to be a bit thin or naked sounding

One is BR and the other is sealed..... guessing .... so as a stand alone I would guess Troels to be the one ... allthough I like sealed better

And it really dont matter what other people think they hear, you are the only one to judge what you like

It wouldnt be hard to build both ... same drivers

Interesting question.
I have a spare set of nice solid cabinets for these from an AOS Studio 12 project, and I am looking for a use for them, when I have have finished getting my floorstanders right.
Please let us know what you decide, and the results after the build.
Good luck
Michael
