Default Wiring from xover to tweeter

i noted some speakers have tweeters wired to crossovers with reversed polarity, such as + to - and vice versa.

can anyone enlighten me why?

correction of 2nd order phase shift of 180 degrees?

thanks

Hi,

It depends on the type of crossover alignment used.
Some alignments require the two drivers to be relatively out of phase.
