open baffle neo3 neo8 line array design

Hello,

I'm looking to optimize ~1K on neo8 and neo3 drivers as part of an open baffle design. Ideas appreciated. There are no size/cosmetic constraints on this as it's just for me.

A few people have talked about adding a single neo3 to a line of neo8's but I have seen any reported result for this. Ideas for how many 3's to add?

Another yet to be finished idea was hornloading a neo8 - again haven't seen enough on it to know how to proceed.

I'd like to mount the bass drivers which I haven't decided on yet as well.

The slight hitch in this is that I'm a grad student with zero tools since moving here, so I'd like to make the cabinet as simple to construct as possible. (I don't mind buying the necessities). Another reason for an OB. I love the sound of my ob Alon's and it would be great if I could beat that.

Also - can anyone tell if these are the neo8? If so, they're cheap.

Besides the guy who is making his enire baffle out of steel, has anyone experimented with steel reinforcing the baffle? Will having 2" HDF panels be sufficient to avoid transmitting woofer vibrations to the ribbons?

I was also thinking of trying to integrate a TL into the design, but putting a freestanding sonitube behind the design wouldn't be too much work.

Can anyone comment on using curved plywood baffles in combination with the sonotube rediffuser?
