Does anyone know the price of these speakers when they were new?

I auditioned the speakers yesterday evening. They sounded good, but to be honest, I expected more. They sounded different from my B&Ws, better in some respects. But only slightly so. Plus the B&Ws sound a bit warmer still. Could be the room acoustics though (they were positioned at least about a meter from any walls). But all in all, I felt that the asking price was a bit high; I didn't buy them.
So I'm still looking for speakers, although I'm not in a rush. I'll be moving into an apartment pretty soon, so I might wait to see how the acoustics there turn out. |
