Default Tweeter for JBL D130?

I have a pr. of JBL D130 15" extended-range woofers & want to replace the JBL 075 tweeters i currently have with a high quality, similar efficiency replacement?

Any suggestions are welcome, there seems to be quite a few knowledgable DIYers here!!!

goodness..

you could go in a lot of directions!

what's your budget? what's your listening taste? what're your sonic goals?

definitely a good foundation with a d130 though!

Stuck.Wilson,

First off, thank you for your reply, this is a very busy forum!

I'm a 47 y/o audiophool since the early 70's & have alot of Rock from that time & earlier, plus early 80's Audiophile music, CCM, Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, & just about anything that's well-recorded!!!!

I have Decware Zen Select monoblocks & need high-efficiency speakers, so if the tweeters are analytical, the tube amps might make things just right(wishful thinking)!!! I want to be able to listen to music for hours like I did with my Maggies(MG-1's, SMG's) in the 80's & 90's, before our kids got into high school & college!!!

I was wondering if open-baffles of some-type might be possible with maybe B200's? I don't know what the D130's require(OB, vented, horn, or Large-sealed box)! Or how about ribbons?

I'm not too concerned with cost of just the tweeters, but do want a simple 2-way design( more music, less distortion) or use of a plate amp w/crossover? Are there any plate amps with higher X-over points?

Sorry this is a long post, I've been reading audio forums for years & not doing anything with the info!!!!!! Stupid, huh? Thanks for any help!
