Default K-horns in my future again?

In the 1970s there was a company in Seattle called Speaker Lab.
They sold kits and hardware with plans for a number of designs.
I purchased speakers, crossovers and plans for a set of K-horns that were a copy of Klipschorns. The speakers were wonderful I have never heard the low end that these can produce any where else. I'm sure there are other speakers but hey this is my fantasy. Then a spouse happened and these huge black shapes in the corners that were larger than a washing machine ( that we didn't have at the time) were not really popular. Especially when we moved into a smaller house. Needless to say they were sold and replaced with smaller horn speakers. I have been looking for plans for K-horns for years. Do any of you out there have and suggestions where I might find plans for K-horns.

Thanks Brad

I don't have the x-over schematics and stuff like that but I could mail you a scanned copy of the bass-horn plans out of the so called "Klingler" book. This is a small German paberback on speakerbuilding that was once very popular.

But I bet you will find these plans also somewhere on the web.

Regards

Charles

It's been a few years now, but Speakerlab was still selling copies of their plans. You might want to contact them and see if they still carry them.
Best Regards,

Kind of a thread jack, but have you considered a Jubilee project? I am looking for CAD dwgs but if I am unsuccessful I will recreate them.

'snip' - Do any of you out there have and suggestions where I might find plans for K-horns.

Thanks Brad
I have the K-horn Speaker lab plans that I tried to upload in a zip file - too big - if you email me w/ your email address I'll send them to you.

If I don't here from you today it will take about two weeks before I can respond, leaving on a trip but will send when I get back.

BTW - the Klipsch forum in modifications like freddi mentioned is a wealth of info. I am eventually going to build the Klipsch 'Belle' which is heavily documented there, .dwg drawings and step by step. Also their 'search' is great + the members are very helpful, great forum...

Ive got a DIY manual for building a Georgian (Khorn) which was sold by ElectroVoice. It shows a step by step build with detailed parts schematic. Its been made somewhat easier to build than the standard Khorn. Note the driver access from the front. Not sure how it varies from the Speakerlab clone.

Thanks all. I tried to Google Speakerlab quite a few times and never came up with with anything. First try this morning and Jackpot. I will also try some of the other suggestions here.
