Default Question on Zaph's Hi-Vi B3S

Hi!
If I use a 120Hz Sub Crossover instead of a 150Hz one, will my Hi-Vi B3S be loud enough for my home-cinema or I'll lose a lot of power??
I'm asking that because I want to use a Klipsch Promedia DD 5.1 Decoder that has a built in subwoofer crossover set to 120Hz.

With 120hz LR4, your maximum output per satellite will be about 95 dB with about 50 watts. Add in room reinforcement and the other channels. This may be loud enough for some people, but not loud enough for some others.

Regards,
John

That should be enough for a small room. Are you certain the Klipsch amplifier has a built in highpass crossover for the satellite speakers?

I built the B3S project, with some minor modifications to the baffles. If you haven't bought the parts yet, I can sell you the drivers along with crossover components. I used Dayton Polypropelane capacitors, Jantzen air core inductors and Dayton audio grade resistors. Send me an email if you are interested (danspublic AT gmail DOT com)
