Are these speakers worth $40? Sound decent at all?

Was that price $40 or $400?

Also, since we are designers/builders here, it may be difficult to get an opinion on commercial speakers because we don't buy them! Are you interested in building your own?

They were actually $40 from a Circuit City outlet. I like DIY'ing. But sometimes I'll retrofit decent boxes if they are the correct volume for a driver. That's why I figured getting those Infinities would still be worthwhile at $40.

But after I posted I found out they were out of stock and that the website had not updated yet. Oh well, nothing new. I missed their Infinity Primus sale earlier this year.
