I have questions

I seem to be having trouble finding information so links and or explanations are appreciated.

What exactly is(are) monopole. bipole, and dipole? what are the differences?

I have been looking at horns tlines and vented enclosures. I think I can see the difference in horns from the others, but what makes a tline different from vented?

There is soo much info here it is almost impossible to figure out where to start so I thought transducer and enclosures and maybe someday I will get to crossovers and possibly an understanding of the values of the components.

Start by being reasonably good at algebra, trigonometry, physics and basic electronics (particularly AC.) To learn anything interesting, you need some basic knowledge - this keeps you from getting confused and mixed up with half-baked opinions dressed-up as facts. Then you need to have a well organized and well written guide; so get Vance Dickason's LDC7 (on sale at www.audioexpress.com) and Dr. Joseph D'Appolito's Testing Loudspeakers. If you carefully read both and understand most of it, then you will be ahead of most of the people who claim to be loudspeaker designers (in my experience - and I've met many well known professional speaker designers.)
