Default Ideas for a 2 OR 3 way pair

I currently have a pretty average setup. technics amp, vintage goodmans speakers, etc. However I want to get rid of all this and replace it with some serious DIY. I havent had much experience building cabinets, just the odd job like my celestion 12s.

I wish to build one pair of medium to large cabinets, probably XT25 tweeters and I havent a clue on the woofer, but a 12" would do nicely. one that runs low...

Ontop of this a nice sub to sit in the corner to leave cracks in the walls

any suggestions are welcome

thanks
