A few impedance curves and two examples of response modification by adding a fold-over stub to front chamber which connected via a ~2" gap between the port board and inside surface of "wings"
for a new builder there might be things to tonally juggle and perhaps ways of reducing ripple and "echo". the little box with 80 liter rear chamber and low Q/ low mass (~103g) 18" although not extended in LF was reasonably punchy on drums at 3/16" to 1/4" peak to peak and 300 watt peaks were Karlson a type of bandpass or a bit more? can one be built with good sensitivity that will play flat to 50Hz half-space or has this exceeded its practical limits vs bulk? http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/HU...es/116427.html |
