Replace components in my center?

I'm pretty happy with my surround setup right now, but the only thing that bugs me about it is that nothing matches. I have DIY Peerless fronts, JBL EC35 center, paradigm mini monitors for the rear (and another set of smaller paradigms for the 7.1 but they arn't hooked up yet), and a 15" sub...the brand escapes me right now...
anyways...i would at least like the front to match, so i was thinking...
would it work for me to use the cabinet and crossover in the JBL EC35 center and replace the components with Peerless components? The center consists of two 5.25" woofers, 3" mid, and 1" tweeter. Would that work or would it be a disaster...

You have asked a difficult question. If the center channel box is double that of the Peerless boxes then it might work. You will have to redo the XO though.

but:

If you are happy, why not leave them?

and:

If you are concerned about matching, then you don't want the JBL center box anyway, you'll want to build new to match the diy Peerless.
