Default Measurement baffle tips

So i'm starting my first DIY project this weekend. I'm making a 48" x 48" baffle from 5/8" mdf. The center will have a 12" x 12" square cutout for mounting drivers on various size insets.

Couple questions: Should I flush mount drivers on the inset?

Does anyone cover the baffle face with felt or just leave it bare?

Any other tips for making the baffle?

Thanks, Brandon

Thanks for the link, that helps. From reading that, I'm thinking no felt, and i need to flush mount.
