I'm cleaning the house of a lot of stuff I accumulated over the years. Among things I have nowhere to go with is a pair of Magnepan Tympani II speakers. These are dual panel speakers with midrange driver on one panel and high frequency driver on the other. They are about 5'10" tall and 2' wide. They have first order crossover and are good down to about 100Hz. A pair of woofers or a sub are recommended for good sound.
They sound really big- with diffuse quality that fills up the whole room- your typical Magnepan signature sound. They call for a powerful amplifier- due to their low efficiency. I ran them with an Adcom 555 250W/ch. They work fine and were recently (about 3 years ago) re-wrapped at the factory in a new fabric "skin". They are beige in color. They look like the ones in the picture EXCEPT they are 2 panels per speaker as opposed to 3. Anyway, if someone wants to have them they'll have to pick them up in Lancaster PA. They're free. I just have no heart to throw them out and they are too good to just go unused. Hopefully someone will get some quality music enjoyment time out of them. No dealers or people intending to turn them into cash right away please. If the pictures don't show (geocities doesn't like hotlinking) look at this page: http://www.geocities.com/richsrarities/mystereo.html Email me at jan-at-thuneau-dot-com if interested. They are too big for me to pack and ship so please don't ask.

I would love to have them, but I am in Utah...any way to ship them?
If not too expensive? I already own a set of MMGs, and MMG-Ws and love them... |
