I am interested in building a set of Swans M1 speakers as a DIY project but am having trouble finding legible plans. I found a set of plans but can't read some of the crossover information. There is also a queer looking baffle that measures 232 by 250 with a hole in the center and I can't figure out where it goes. The site link is below. If anyone has the plans please let me know. This was originally a kit but I don't think it is available any more.

Anybody ever measured that RT1C or any of the other HiVi planars? I've been thinking of trying one, but scared to without seeing some distortion numbers first

IIRC, they were covered in a somewhat recent issue of AudioXpress. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for the link. I couldn't find it on the English version of the site. Dennis Collins of Audioexpress gave these rave reviews and designed a base box to go with them. THe original article was in 1999 and the follow up base box was in 2005.
Cheers, Doug |
