I was one of those people who bought the Pioneer 50 cent
speakers to make line arrays some time ago. I made the baffle board, cut the 8 holes per baffle and did the wiring with some help. Thankfully I found the diagram. Now I intend to cut down that baffle boards with one and a half inch trim from the hole cutout edge and make some sides and a back to stand a total of four feet high in some sort of cabinet ply or birch ply. Jim Griffin or others, can you suggest some measures to get these finished off? I recall seeing the project by Bill Fitzmaurice for these but that is a lot of angle cutting and mounting tricks. These should just be floor standers-- maybe with my first practice installation of electronic parts or a bargain tweeter. I'll go look up the Parts Express item number now that I can get to PE again. No luck at PE. The Speaker is marked 10-1028LA/XCN. On my search I saw they were being offered on Ebay starting bid of $3.99 each. Oh brother. Any help appreciated with this. |
