Question How to patch a torn speaker?

I have about a 3in,. tear in a 15" speaker cone and need to know what i can use to patch it. Any help would be great, Thanx.

Hi,

Do a search. I use PVA wood glue (no tissue) for such repairs.
Only use tissue if you have a hole, the edges do not mate up.

I've used a watered down solution of weldbond(white glue) and a small piece of papertowel(bounty, the quicker picker-upper ) with good results. Put the patch on from the back(pre-soak it first) and apply a couple coats of the solution with a small paintbrush, let dry and you're good to go!

Clear nail polish. The stinky stuff.

EDIT: White glue with or without tissue is fine. The reason I suggest nail polish is that it dries very quickly. You're set to go before you've even washed your hands.
