While looking at drivers, I noticed the W14RC25s - a 20$ 5.25" driver availible locally.
http://www.madisound.com/silverflute.html I was wondering - why not use one of these in a "Bigger is Better" along with a second driver for the treble? Frequency response would need to be pretty flat to about 2-300hz, which the BiBs generally are; a decent tweeter (something around the $15 mark?) could then be crossed in. I was thinking that this might make for an inexpensive BiB with somewhat less spazzy treble response. Thoughts? |
